We’re excited to share the official video from our 4th PEN@Hydropower Training School on Sustainable Hydropower, held in Uppsala, Sweden in June 2025.

Over four immersive days, 25 early-career professionals from both academia and industry came together to explore the future of sustainable hydropower—learning, collaborating, and exchanging ideas in one of Europe’s leading research environments.

What’s in the video?
This short video captures the spirit and impact of our Training School—from the classroom to the field. Highlights include:

• Hands-on training in the Hydropower Sustainability Standard, led by Jian-hua Meng and João Costa

• Stakeholder simulation exercises to understand real-world decision-making

• Presentations from the five COST Action CA21104 Working Groups

• A site visit to Vattenfall’s R&D Center, including the innovative Laxelerator and Digital Inspection Lab
